The straggler we found at the end of the last session was saved by our industrious heroes. It turns out that she was hidden here, running from some ill-meaning family members. She did not know the secrets of the portal blanket and orange-bags, but the fruit warehouse was her Grandfather’s.
Organon ended up alone with the poor girl, and sent her off through the portal with a little note from ‘Timie’ detailing what we’d done. Timie was not amused when she learned he’d put her name to this, and was somewhat convinced the people at the other end of the portal would kill the girl. Alas, it was too late to do anything.
The ship floated down to sea-level, sinking the stray ship that it had ‘fished’ with its anchor. None of our heroes seemed particularly worried by this, and a few found it amusing. Timie left the crew on the ship as she went to find a harbour master. The docks were enormous! and each pier seemed to contain a resident fisherman or three, who helpfully pointed the way.
The harbour master asked a ridiculous price for the dock, so Timie was mortally offended. She demanded a fair price, but the harbour master simply denied her, oh, and set a troop of soldiers en route to destroy the ship should she continue to trouble him. Fortunately, a stranger entered and eventually resolved the situation with a relatively large amount of gold. This was one of our contacts in the city – a lady I’m sure was impressed with our initial display of subtlety.
It was about this time that Tychosa and Sopek touched down, rendez-vousing on the ship, and our second contact found us. (Which I’m sure was a darn difficult challenge, seeing as how we’re so subtle). Fortunately, the lady contact [Jodie] had hired a lab for Timie, as Organon was fussing about his medicine, and speaking of horrific events as if he was recounting tea with his grandmother. Jodie, Tymie and Organon set of to the lab, while the rest of us, led by Vilo, went to the pub to get settled in.
On the way to the pub, we realised that we were being followed. We detoured into a bar and had a drink., and it didn’t take long for one of the followers to address Vilo. He was looking for Tymie! He asked us to pass on a message to her, to visit an address and receive her reward. How mysterious.
Later, we met up at the pub we were staying at. We gave Tymie the message, and agreed that Jodie should go to the address while disguised as Tymie, or possibly not as she was so much larger. Either way we were going to keep an eye on the whole situation.
Later on, a few of us retired to the ship, while the rest had fun staying in the pub. Good night!
