The Pirates Of Atlantis
Larasa is a northwestern Pelasgaran kingdom little known among Atlanteans or most other peoples. In the past the Larasans were a minor tribe that warred frequently with the Baltarians to the northeast, and even today resent having to share a capital city with them (see above). Many Larasans won’t even refer to the city as Regava, which is a Baltarian word; they think of “Regava” as the eastern half of the city that belongs to the Baltarians, and call their western half Saramra (a Larasan word meaning simply “Our City”).
Unlike his Baltarian counterpart, Prince Vandaris seems to enjoy fomenting competitions between his subjects and the Baltarians, and loudly supports his subjects until the point where it looks like things might turn ugly. Then he quickly backs off so that King Azaes can’t blame him for causing trouble, leaving his people to mutter about his inconsistent and cowardly ways.
The Larasan people mainly support themselves through fishing in their land’s many small rivers and streams, woodcutting, and raising herds of pigs. The herds descend from the wild boars that live in the western part of the Spressorian Greatwoods, which are especially large, strong, and fierce and thus an attractive quarry for hunters.
